It is hard to believe that this is only a 2 second exposure! (Stack of 49 frames.)

Using N.I.N.A.'s exposure calculation, this should either be 2 seconds or 20 seconds depending on which exposure I start with: 1 second returns 2 seconds, 30 seconds returns 20 seconds. So I went with the 2 seconds for the first round. Clouds prevented me from trying for the 20 second round. However, a single exposure looks promising.

I did run ABE (PixInsight) twice on the initial master image before anything else. After that, a couple of adjustments with Curves knocked out the background with only a small amount of noise left over that was eliminated with Affinity Photo. Using the Saturation adjustment in Curves brought out the color in the stars.

I"m not pleased with the core. It looks too washed out.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
