Description

This object is a rarely imaged dark nebula located in the constellation of Aquila at a declination of 0 degrees. Like most dark nebula, I could not fund much information about this object in the literature and I cannot determine its distance from us.

The interesting small bright white nebula just to the left of image center is GGD 30. This nebula was first identified by Gyulbudaghian, Glushkov & Denisyuk (GGD) in 1978 in a search for Herbig-Haro objects. I have not seen a confirmation whether this object is a HH object or simply a reflection nebula. Just a short distance in the image above and left of GGD 30 is the confirmed HH object that is HHG33.3+0.2.
