Description

The antennae galaxies are a pair of colliding galaxies in the constellation Corvus that will eventually merge to form a single larger galaxy. At the moment the interaction is ejecting stars, dust and gas. The interaction is also spawning massive star formation. The pair are believed to be located about 45 million light years away.
