Description

It's spring..Cygnus time! Here's a Hydrogen-alpha narrowband image of the Tulip Nebula ( Sh2-101 ) a beautiful emission nebula located in the "tail" of Cygnus. This large constellation is visible in the northern-east sky from around midnight until dawn. Not very convenient to image but I've learned how to program the acquisition, so I can go to bed and collect the images in the morning! Cygnus is aligned to the milky way and contains an incredible range of hydrogen-alpha emitting regions...next one will be the Cygnus Wall in the North America Nebula!
