Description

Situated in Centaurus are these 3 subjects:
The  Mag 2.75 star Iota Centaurus at a  distance of 58ly.
The lenticular galaxy NGC 5102 or Iota's ghost discovered in 1835 by john Herschel 12Mly distant.
PGC 46521 (ESO 382-45) galaxy possibly 42Mly distant.

There are many more faint galaxies here to try and spot too.

I like the composition of these 3 together but vastly different distances.
I imaged these on the 1/07/22 on a rare clear night from my backyard in Huonville, Tasmania.

Consisting of 28 good light frames 300s.
processed with master dark, master flat, master dark flat and BPM

Captured using the brilliant NINA, processed using the fantastic Astro pixel processor and finished off with Photoshop.
