Description

This is only one night HSO on the Lion Nebula. I was planning on a second night but when I calibrated the first images, it resulted in a dense haze in all the images. So instead, I spent last night taking apart the imaging train and inspecting the telescope. Everything looked great. So, I decided to delete my calibration masters and start over. I have been using the same master flats, darks and bias for the last month. I found the masters from before and retried. I don't know what I did but this time calibration worked fine. Maybe I used some older masters but I really don't think so. It is a mystery to me (schleierhaft).

Calibrated and initial color balance with APP. BlurX, NoiseX, and GHS stretch in PI. Color adjustment in PS. Now that I am learning to use GHS better, it makes bringing out faint detail much easier.
