IC 5068, a low-emission nebula composed of gaseous hydrogen clouds, is nicknamed the "Forgotten Nebula" because it is located in close proximity to the more famous and photogenic North America and Pelican Nebulas. The nebula is primarily known for the strips of dark clouds that separate the ionized hydrogen regions, effectively setting it apart from its more renowned neighbors. These objects are situated approximately 1,600 light-years away in the direction of the Cygnus constellation.
