Description

My first astro camera was a modified Canon 700D but I only ever used it with camera lenses on an AstroTrac tracker before I succumbed to GAS and upgraded to cooled CMOS cameras, EQ mounts and scopes. However after 4 years in the back of the cupboard I dug it out and stuck it on my Zenithstar 103. Noise was always a problem with the 700D, the ambient temp is around 30C at the start of the session, so for the first time I enabled LENR and consequently for a whole night's imaging I only got 92 x 120s and 60 x 10s frames. I was impressed at how effectively LENR blitzed the noise. It may have blitzed real data too but on this bright target that is not noticeable.
It was fun to do this but the 700D has gone back in the cupboard and my 183C is back on the scope.
