Description

This turned out to be more of a challenge for me than I had anticipated. After preporcessing (including local normalization) and  integration in Pixinsight, I fouund that my RGB cmbined image had a very bright and colorful background but I did finaly manage to get the background under control with HT.  I'm still not sure why I had that bright colorful backround  but my suspicion is that it was due to the exposure length. I used 180 seconds but with the ASI 2600 mm pro, I probably could have gone much shorter. I also wonder if there was something that I could have done in with the normalization settings in WBPP. I'm not sure but nevertheless, I am generally satisfied with this output. I use HDRMT on the luminance master before combining it with the RGB and that seemed to be very effective in bringing out detail in the core. I'm particularly pleased with my framing because I wanted to capture the nearby galaxies NGC 6207 and the very small one C4617. You can zoom in on NGC 6207 and see some detail. This image is cropped slightly  as well. The exposures were as follows:

lum      168 x 180s
Red      140 x 180s
Green  155 x 180s
Blue     151 x 180s
