Description

A year long+ project, that I'll keep going. One brief night on LRGB, and about 10 nights on Ha exclusively to go deep on the explosion details. I tried 4 hours of 30sec subs for Ha and 8.5 hours of 440sec subs. I only used the 440 sec sub data because it was clearly revealing "deeper" details. I'll share comparison in comments. I wasn't sure which approach (30sec or 440sec) would be better, but proved to myself empirically and theoretically (also confirmed by Dr. Robin Glover's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RH93UvP358) that longer subs was better for my narrowband Ha filters.

Processing
I've tried multiple ways to combine the Ha data with LRGB, but found this video by VisibleDark to be the most straightforward for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyY6lQRrScQ This method is what I used to produce this image.

Object Background
Really neat to learn that the Ha bits is mostly from an extraodinary rate of star formation which is called a starburst!
