Description

"The Heart Nebula is located about 7,500 light years away toward the constellation of Cassiopeia. ... the companion Fishhead Nebula.
The nebula glows brightly in red light emitted by its most prominent element: hydrogen. The red glow and the larger shape are all powered by a small group of stars near the nebula's center. " https://science.nasa.gov/ic-1805-heart-nebula

Is the first process we are doing to the Heart Nebula.  The data was acquired from Sept to November 2020 over 10th nights during those months and begin to process in end July and August 2021.  Just some tuning in September 2021.

As the Soul Nebula, the Heart Nebula has a lot of peculiarities and details in its own configuration.  The joy to work in the processing of the images is to be able 'discovery' the wonder of each target.  This nebula is not the exception.

It was used around 497 frames made with Enhanced and Extreme filters (around 30 hours of integration) and stacked it in DSS as the first step of RGB base image.

With the Siril  program it extracted the Ha and [OIII] channels from those frames then combined the Red channel (RGB) with the Ha and [OIII] and applied the Histogram Transformation tool of the Siril program for the SHO version palette.

It was used StarNet++ for get the starless version,  but cleaned more manually certain parts of the nebula and worked the rest of the process in Ps.

The stars come from six hours of stacking frames done with L-Pro then used as base stars for all the versions we did of the Heart Nebula.

Description: In this version the Green channel was made by 50% of Ha and [OIII] each (estracted from Siril program), then combined as Ha in the Red channel, the Green channel created and [OIII] in the Blue channel and worked in Ps.

Description: This is the 'original' image process as SHO version while the 'pink' version is the H H-G-O version. In the 'pink' version the Green channel was used from the Enhanced and Extreme filter frames stacked in DSS then combined the Ha in the Red channel, Green in the G and OIII in the Blue channel and worked in Ps.
