Description

Abell 5
PK 141 - 7.1
PN G141.7 - 07.8

Abell 5 was discovered in 1955 and is located in the Perseus Constellation. It has an unusual, incomplete ring shape with 2 hydrogen wedge clouds. Is it a Planetary Nebula? It has characteristics of one but exists without a central star.

Notes:  Even though this is a faint target, 5-minute subs were enough to bring in the data with my OSC setup and the Dual-band filter.

Thanks, Eddie
