Description

NGC 281, also known as the Pacman Nebula, is a bright emission nebula and part of an HII region in the Cassiopeia constellation. It is also part of the Milky Way's Perseus Spiral Arm. The nebula lies about 9,500 light years from us and is 48 light years across.

I've seen a few good Pacmen recently, so I'll add my effort to the list! I took advantage of a couple of clear nights in the UK, which were, of course, almost 100% full moon nights but...a clear night is a clear night! This is the first time I've chosen the Hubble palette for this target and also first light for my adjustable field flattener (which needs more adjustment...).

Thanks for looking, as always!
