Description

I captured this image last night from my backyard. It is 150 pictures stacked on top of each other. This is the Pacman Nebula located in the Cassiopeia Constellation in the Perseus Spiral Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. It is 9,500 lightyears away and is 48 lightyears across. Remember, 1 lightyear is 5.5 trillion miles. You can also see Schedar in the lower right. It is one of the brightest stars in Cassiopeia and is 228 lightyears from Earth. This is only the 2nd Deep Sky Object I have captured. Hopefully, I will get much better.
