Description

This was a fun one.
While I was working on my SH2-129+OU4 project with the OSC equipment, my mono order arrived (ZWO ASI2600MM+EFW7x36).
I threw it onto the RedCat51, dusted off my GP-DX and went for my first mono image.

I chose NGC7822 because it fills the FOV of the RC with APS-C so nicely. The plan was to shoot around 2 hours of lights for each filter and go for a Hubble palette. However, a whooping 100% of my OIII lights were bad due to fog that crept out of the abyss in the morning.

What to do? Use a bicolor-palette of course! So this is NGC7822 in HSS using a 50:50 blend of classic HSS/RGB assignment and a ForaxX-HOO-style combination (with S instead of O). I really dig the look!
