Description

This time lapse has an interesting story.
In 2014, I was camping in Northern Michigan on Lake Superior and wanted to take one of my very first picture ever of the Milky. As I was taking my very first exposure, an old lady came with a flashlight asking what I was doing. After she left, I realized that my first shot was pretty much all green and I thought "crap, she destroyed my first picture."

I took a few other shots and same green cast on them and I though "CRAP, she destroyed my camera sensor". But them I realized the green cast was actually slight different from one photo to another. I rotated my camera more to the left and BOOM. I realized these were Northern lights (which were not visible naked eye).
I had no idea how to use a DSLR in manual mode at the time so obviously stars are out of focus, it is very certainly not the best ISO so the noise was crazy, and I didn't shoot in raw, so I had to process jpg files.

Time lapse is only 3 frames of 30s @ ISO 12800
Focal Length: 18 mm @ f/4.5
