Description

M51 is a Grand Galaxy by any definition of the meaning and, I would opine, THE Grand Galaxy tout-court. As such I did it time and time again, in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Then I paused thinking all was fine with my latest iteration and then it was no longer fine so I upped the scale in 201, added H-alpha and here is the result. I could probably sit prettily on this one a little way longer or until I move to a finer place with HUGE telescope that would allow me to do real HIGH RES on this one. I expect this ain't gonna happen any time soon or ever so this one stays.
