Description

The M5 Rose Cluster is one of the oldest globular clusters in the Milky Way galaxy and lies in the constellation Serpens. It was discovered in 1702 by the German astronomer Gottfried Kirch. It lies at a distance of 24,500 light years from Earth, in the galactic halo of the Milky Way.
