Description

Interesting structure to this familiar galaxy.  The almost perpendicular dark lanes on the right side contrast with the flocculent arm on the left side.  I get the impression that the left arm is twisted above the plane of the core while the right side is below.  At first glance the galaxy appears as a classic spiral, but a closer look shows evidence of a very interesting past
