Description

On a night of good seeing, I trialled my new camera the Player One Saturn-M SQR. I captured to a maximum file size of 8GB per RGB colour channel. This typically gave me an 80 sec capture at 61 fps, with the phenomenal data download rate with the usb 3 connection. This is therefore a colour image. The resolution is down to about 500m, as you can see from version B, where I compare a section of the crater floor, with the LRO image which has the scale market at 500m. Funnily enough, what I thought were craters are actually mounds. You can tell this from the illumination direction and the shadow of the central crater peak.
In any case, this is therefore the diffraction limited resolution of my C14.
Note this image is North up. I think it looks better with this orientation even though it is upside down compared to what we see down under.
