Description

UPDATE: 15 January 2024  Another rainy day so I figured I'd spend my time reworking this image since I was not happy with my previous results. I spend a few hours this morning fine-tuning the color detail if the main image and to bring out more of the surrounding nebulosity.  I extracted the stars to work them over too and sharpen them up a little as well as their color. I reintegrated and the attached revision is the result of this mornings work. I'm pleased the image is much better now.  Enjoy!
____________

LDN 1235 nebula is part of a very large molecular cloud located in the constellation of Cepheus. There are two blue reflection nebulae,  one which is visible in the top of the image frame and the second is located off frame. They are vdB149 and vdB150, illuminated by a nearby spectral type B8IV star.

Imaged over two nights with LRGB filters captured a total of 13.95 hours of data that brought out some finer details of the molecular cloud inside the dark area.

Clear Skies!
