Description

Classified information: I am wanted by the meteo-police for shooting lunar surface images through cloud gaps. As during dusk the air was somewhat calm I boldly threaded a 2x tubeless barlow providing 1.42x magnification at its position in the optical path. Theoretically, this results into the optimum focal ratio of f/15 for my camera/scope combination. After dusk the air became more active with ripples apparently propagating over the lunar surface. The primary target was the Aristarchus plateau though the phase was too early but you never can tell tomorrow's sky. Libration of -6.6° in latitude was favorable for sunlit south polar regions.
