Description

Sh2-155, otherwise known as the Cave Nebula is situated roughly 2400 light years away in the constellation Cepheus. It is part of the much larger Cepheus molecular cloud.

20hrs of data were collected over several nights, I did have a further thought of adding Ha but I believe it would take a lot of data to get what I want as I would be using just a 4th of my cameras sensor. Conditions were very good, moonless and very little cloud. There is some very subtle detail in the DN as well as the emission part that I really wanted to show but would either need more integration time or just get better at processing. I am sure I will reprocess this again in several months time

Another fun project and learned a lot with regards to processing in GIMP.

CS and hope you enjoy the picture.
