Description

"Shroud"

After sitting on some new dedicated gear for months that felt like an eternity, I was finally able to test and use everything for an actual night of shooting, and suffice to say, "I'm blown away" is an understatement. For context, the next 2 frames in the post shows the image of my first few attempts at this target, which were from best skies I had access to and multiple hours of integration.

This one, on the other hand, was just captured casually from my roof and only has just over 2 hours of integration. Even a single frame was way better than what I captured in the past by unimaginable margins.

This has to be the target that I absolutely love to shoot, despite all the challenges. I know I've said that for many targets, but only because I've never been satisfied with how this one turned out in the past.

I'm looking forward to what I find in this season of astrophotography, and am looking forward to exploring targets that were just impossible in the past.
