It's like a childhood dream come true : I finally managed to capture one of the most beautiful marvels of our Universe : The Mystic Mountain, or with a slightly more scientific language "
The Herbig-Haro 901 & 902".
The light were gathered through the ASA RC-1000 located in Chilescope observatory in El Sauce, Chile. I feel lucky because I could afford to book 3 nights the RC-1000 to get to the final rendering. The final rendering would have been way better with more integration time. Since I did not what to expect from the target, I decided to limit my sessions.
This picture features the incredible beautiful "Herbig-Haro 901 & 902" object. HH marvels are small nebulae associated with very young stars, which form when material ejected by these nascent stars collides with surrounding clouds of gas and dust at speeds of several hundred kilometers per second. It's really fascinating to see what marvels we could capture from the ground.
