Description

NGC 1333 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Perseus, about 1000 light-years away from Earth. It is a region of active star formation, where young stars are surrounded by dust and gas that reflect their light. Some of these stars also produce jets of material that collide with the surrounding clouds, creating bright spots called Herbig-Haro objects.
