NGC 5701 final

Description

NGC 5701 is a ring galaxy (an unusual form of spiral) in the constellation Virgo. It is about 77 MLY distant and about 3 arcminutes in apparent diameter.
The image also contains several smaller more distant galaxies, including PGC 214311 just off the main galaxy to the left. There is also a small galaxy (PGC 214310) between the ring and the edge of the core, at the 10 o'clock position.
