Description

NGC 7635, also known as the Bubble Nebula, is a stunning emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia, approximately 7,100 light-years away from Earth. This celestial wonder is named after its distinctive bubble-like appearance, created by the intense radiation and stellar winds from a massive, hot, and young star at its center, known as BD+60°2522.The Bubble Nebula spans about 10 light-years in diameter and is an active region of star formation. The star's powerful radiation ionizes the surrounding hydrogen gas, causing it to emit a reddish glow characteristic of emission nebulae. The bubble structure results from the interaction between the expanding stellar wind and the surrounding molecular cloud.NGC 7635 is a favorite target for amateur astronomers and astrophotographers, as it presents a visually striking and photogenic sight through telescopes and long-exposure photography. Observing this celestial spectacle allows us to marvel at the forces of nature and the intricate beauty of our universe.
