Description

Using Stellarium a few weeks in advance to gauge the "best" evening for this alignment met with a happy coincidence of clear skies following a warm, sunny, cloudless day in the South West of Britain on Sunday the 24th of May.

The trio of objects visible here from left to right include a Waxing Crescent Moon, and the planets Mercury and Venus. This capture was taken approximately 40 minutes after sunset, and there is but one other barely visible object in the very top right of the scene which is the bright star Capella.

This is a single edited and cropped shot taken at 40mm FL.
