Very happy to finally image this region, a fascinating and beautiful deep sky vista.
This image was taken under
smoke filled skies of central California, at Williams Hill.As the sun set, I wondered if this image would make it through the thick smoke of the Dixie fire.
I think the smoke helped to add a touch of red to my unmodified DSLR result
.
No masking in this image at all, so the blue halo around 57 Cyg is just part of the data collected.
Anyway, thrilled to have this image in my collection. One of these days I may try again under clear skies to see the difference.
