Description

This is a processing of lost files from early February in 2021.

How did this come about?  Unfortunately my main astro computer (a 2018 MacBook) and my terabyte drive were stolen from my rented vehicle on a trip to California early fall of 2022 (family trip).

I have been scouring remaining thumbdrives for bits of data and today I found this largely unprocessed image, which I had put away for future processing. I could not find my flats for this session, which I normally put together with the lights, so, no luck there.   So I simply went ahead with my first stretch.

The image doesn't have much integration time - my notes show 20 x 10 seconds, 20 x 30 seconds, 20 x 60 seconds, and 20 x 180 seconds.   It also was the first light for my ZWO 2600mc which I very much enjoy using.   I have to say that although this is a very frequent target, I am quite happy to have recovered this data.   It was one of those things that I had meant to do, but never got round to doing it.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks to Rodd D. for jogging my memory on how I processed this in 2021!

Total integration is just over 1 hour and 30 min, combining several exposure times.  The shortest is 10 seconds.

My notes show that this I put this together using HDR composition in PI back in late Feb of 2021.  It sat on my thumbdrive like that until now.

so what we have is:

20 x 10 sec
20 x 30 sec
20 x 60 sec
20 x 180 sec

gain: 0
Camera:  ZWO 2600MC
