Description

Heart Nebula shooted with my "wide field" rig in two sessions with really horrible seeing.

For postprocessing, this time I used HOO combination using some sort of "tone mapping" technique by Metsavainio and Dynamic Blending by Foraxx, both adapdet for OSC cameras by myself. In particular:

- After integration-Dynamic Crop-DBE-Background Neutralization I extracted the channels.

-Then I integrated the G and B with ImageIntegration in order to geto OIII (I linear-fitted the data first).

-For Ha I used the R channel. I also made a copy of it for Luminance.

-For Ha and OIII I applied a "heavy" NR with John Rista Technique (TGV+MMT)

-For Lum I first deconvolved the datas then applied NR (same method as Ha-OIII)

-I stretched softly Ha and OIII datas, then I used Starnet++ to remove stars. I fixed some artifacts with Clone stamp.

-For Chrominance blending: First I used PixelMath in order to obtain an image that shows where OIII and Ha was both strong. I simplu used Ha*OIII. Then I used that image (called "f") in order to smooth some Ha and emphatize OIII. In PixelMath I used the equations:

R=Ha_starless

G=f*Ha_starless + ~f*OIII_starless

B=OIII_starless.

Obviously it took a bit of trial-and-error approach, during which I had to find the right stretch values of Ha and OIII images.

-For LUM, I applied HDRMT in the brighter areas of Melotte15 and FishHead. I used RangeSelect for mask generation.

-Then I enhanced the details a little bit with MMT and the script DarkStructure Enhance. Last but not least, I used EZ Star Reduction .

-Last step in PI, I added the processed LUM to the already blended Chrominance.

-For color-calibration and saturation, my shame, I prefer to use Photoshop. So I saved the processed image in TIFF and used PS selective color correction and saturation.

Hope you enjoy.

Description: In this version I enhanced star colours by extracting them from the main image, then applying heavy saturation and halos reduction.
I also corrected the background a little bit. In the previous version it was too red and bright.
