Description

The Helix Nebula (also known as NGC 7293 or Caldwell 63) is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius. At approximately 655 light years, it is one of the closest of the bright (magnitude 7.6) planetary nebulae. It has a an angular size of 25 arc minutes to the furthest disc, with the central core being 8x19 arc minutes.

This is another fun dataset provided by #itelescopenet and consists of 120 minutes of LRGB data from a #planewave#cdk20 taken (I assume) from Siding Springs Observatory in NSW, Australia. Processing in Astropixelprocessor, PixInsight and Photoshop.
