Description

Fighting Dragons of Ara (NGC 6188) is a really special and very dramatic Southern Hemisphere emission nebula. It is about 4,000 lightyears away and is an active star forming region with incredible shapes seen in the dark cosmic dust. Its name comes from the twists and curls of the dark dust which looks like two dragons facing off.

I took this image for my eldest daughter Isabelle who recently turned 10 and it is a little water dragon.

I took these images throughout June / July and consists of over ~8 hours of photography over several nights. Hope you enjoy it!
