Description

Based on apparent angular size, NGC 2403 is the fifth largest spiral galaxy in the northern hemisphere, after M31, M33, M101 and M81.  Similar in many ways to M33, NGC 2403 features several diffuse spiral arms, and many large Ha regions.  While not a rarely imaged object I am surprised it is not a more popular target, given it is large enough to capture the finer details of the galaxy.  The details are best viewed in full resolution so please give it a look.
