The accquisiton was done by a good friend of mine, named Dr. Frank Flieischmann, chief of the board of our observatory, near Ebermannstadt, Bavaria, Germany.
He used a Cannon Eos 5 Mark 2 with a Lichtenknecker Flat Field camera f3.5/500.
For the most of the processing I worked with batch processing, instead of working on the stacked images. That prolongated the whole processing significantly.
But was necessary to do it without cheating and shord cuts.
The color calibration was done by me with SPCC in PI on the comet subtracted starfield.
With that white reference values, I color calibrated the "comet only image", unsing "color calibration" without "structure detection", by manual definig the RGB values for the white balancing, taken from the SPCC result in the "stars only" image.
After stetching, I did only a bit of "Local Histogram Normalisation" (without masking) and raised the saturation and contrast ever so decently.
Was the most challinging pic, I´v ever processed.
