Description

GUM 37, called Southern Tadpoles is an intensive Ha nebula in the Carina region of the Southern Skies. Often overlooked because of the more known "Statue of Libery" which is not far away from this nebula. It is about 7000 lightyears distant from earth and contains very photogenic details.

This image is not the usual Hubble palette, but to show the intensive Ha emissions, I processed it in the HSO mode.

The equipment was a CDK24 with a QHY600M, equipped with 3nm Astrodon Ha, OIII and SII filters. The raw files came from Telescope.Live and I processed all in PixInsight, AffinityPhoto and Photoshop.
