Description

Sh2-200, which is around 3000 light years from Earth, was discovered by Stewart Sharpless in 1959 and was included in his catalogue of HII regions. In 1983 it was included in the HDW (Hartl, Bengel and Weinberger) catalogue of possible planetary nebulae. It was finally confirmed as a planetary nebula in 2017.[1]
