Description

So here we are, smack dab in the middle of Galaxy season. I always shoot M51, but I also wanted to look for something different. So here we are with UGC 8307 / NGC 5033. I was basically just playing around in the NINA framing wizard and this one seemed to be a little stretch for the FOV at f/7 on the Edge 11, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway. It has such a great shape in it. In my B5 location, 3 mins is roughly the ideal exposure time, and it was pretty cool to see only faint whispers of any structure per sub and then to get to the final stack and have this beautiful galaxy come into view. Clear nights have been rough to come by, and even with that transparency and seeing just haven't been great. Blurx really helped pull the structure back together. I know there are factions of people for or against tools like this, but I am trying to make beautiful images (as long as it's my data). I would think it would be even better if my seeing was a bit better during the acquisition, but I thought why not? Let's give it a shot!
