Description

NGC 4725 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy with a prominent ring structure, located in the northern constellation of Coma Berenices near the north galactic pole. It  lies at a distance of approximately 40 million light-years from the Milky Way. This peculiar galaxy is thought to have only one spiral arm unlike most galaxies that have 2 or more.
