Description

Hi.

This started as another in the Abell series but I saw this artifact in the upper left corner of my O-III and did some looking around. Turns out this is HFG 1, which is visualized is an excellent image by Gary:

I decided to just put up the O-III as planned with the O-III wide angle to show the relationship and also the strength of the O-III (strong).

As another project I would like to reproduce Gary's image with a lot of H-alpha and O-III using his coordinates.

Description: Normal O-III colored image using Rob's tricks:

"In the RGB color model #00b8e0 is comprised of 0% red, 72.16% green and 87.84% blue."

Usually blended in my OIII data to my green channel data at 72% strength and at 88% strength into blue.

you can do this by using (DNA)linear fit (execute script) to normalize the signal strength of your OIII (target) to the green channel
then use pixelmath to scale the OIII to 72%,
then average the green and scaled OIII.

repeat for blue channel on a fresh copy of the OIII.

Description: To carry this another step further, here is the recentered H-alpha with both objects included. This is 8x1800s with noise removed by Topaz AI.

Now to register with the other Abell 6 images then update the Abell 6 to include the HA?

I am going to recollect the O-III to include both objects and make a separate big final image.

Description: HA added to Red channel as I do normally for HA but no big changes... the signal is weaker than the O-III... maybe the "crust" is sharper. I will get a few more HA for the overall image and see what that does.
