Description

While my main setup was imaging the Iris nebula, I decided to take my old Nikon D3100 and 18 mm lens to make a time-lapse of the milky way.
The D3100 has a very poor resolution (13 MP) and with 15s subs the noise is pretty intense. I had a very hard time cleaning up the images so the final time-lapse is of poor quality.

On a side note, there's no tripod. The camera was sitting on a rock, on the ground.

This time-lapse is composed of 212 frames of 15s each. covering a total of 53 min.

Title: Reprocessed in PixInsight

Description: The previous version was just unprocessed raw imaged put together in a low resolution GIF.
In this new version, all frames have been processed in PI (stretch, color balance, curves, noise reduction). The animated sequence was also generated in PI.
