Description

First light of my new telescope - just bought a Esprit 100ED, and miracously, the clouds didn't appear!
I must say, I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase. It's a wonderful telescope, extremely well built and the image correction is perfect for APS-C sensors. Since I was installing all accessories, etc., I hadn't much time left to image. Since the helix nebula was high in the sky, it was the perfect target to troubleshoot and test my new toy!

So this is my second attempt at imaging this famous DSO. This time, however, I got around more than 1h of imaging time. NoiseXterminator was used to improve on the background noise, as 1h of imaging time is not enough to smoothen the noise. Guiding was abysmal however, and some elongation can be seen. Backfocus was not perfect either, but with the crop it's imperceptible.
