Description

Messier 94 or NGC 4736 is one of the brightest galaxies within the Group M94, inside Virgo Supercluster, with a diameter slightly smaller than our Milky Way. It was discovered by Pierre Meschain in 1781 in constellation Canes Venatici. It was named the Cat’s Eye Galaxy, although the outer ring is not really closed, but a spiral arms structure.
