LDN 673 - English Below
Among the beautiful objects and constellations located further north, the constellation Aquila makes up some of the most interesting objects and dark nebulae for astrophotography.
As you all know, I am a fan of dark nebulae, so the constellation Aquila is simply a delight.
I'm located in southern Brazil at a latitude of 26 degrees, some objects to the north are really hard to photograph (like the Andromeda galaxy :(
LDN 673 (Lynds' Dark Nebula 673) is a dense, thick and gigantic dark cloud complex about 7 light years across, at a distance of approximately 450 light years from Earth.
The whole region consists of several clouds of various sizes, most of them cataloged by B.T. Lynds in 1962.
The raw material available in these dense regions can form hundreds of thousands of stars. Astronomers often look at this type of object for star formations.
In this image it is possible to observe two widely observed energy flows: In the lower part of the image on the right, the small red cloudiness RNO 109 and in the lower left part a Herbig-Haro HH32 object.
LDN 673 is easy to locate, being very close to the star ALTAIR.
