Description

I finally got a bunch of OIII data to be able to composite an HSO image. I decided for HSO since the SHO colors were really not the way I expected it. The stars were obtained by using my often used "natural" RGB from S, H and O:

R= 45% Ha + 55% SII

G = 10% SII + 20% Ha + 70% OIII

B = 10% Ha + 90% OIII

The image was processed traditionally, hence no color manipulation in any form. Steps included: Deconvolution, DBE, ABE, low stretch, create RGB stars from low stretch, more stretching, create starless images, clean starless images with stamps, combine starless images into HSO, create masks with range selection, emphasize nebula with range mask, overlay starless image with RGB stars, Pixel Math stretched HSO (25%) with obtained result (75%).

Expected a bit nicer color scheme, but since this was the result without any color manipulation I left it as is.

Another example that one can do good narrow band images with an achromatic telescope.
