Description

A widefield image of the grouping around the large elliptical galaxy M105, with its neighbors NGC 3384 and NGC 3389, looking across to the M96 group, with M96 and M95 most prominent.
Aside form the bluer color of NGC 3389, likely with a lot of star birth happening, it is too small for my 420 mm fast mirror scope, but M95 and M96 are very beautiful. These are the galaxy types that make me wish for my older long focal length setup. So I imaged for a while with my old Intes MN56 with the same camera, but only framing M95 andM96 and added them to this image, which gave a little more detail for these two galaxies. The whole region is peppered with large colorful stars and lots of distant galaxy clusters if you look around.
