Description

This is the first dataset collected from my new observatory. Nicholas Observatory was completed on Dec 10th, 2023. I lost both parents not too long ago. They have always supported me with this hobby that I started in the 4th grade. The countless trips to the hardware store to pick up supplies for me while I built my first of many telescopes. My Dad also taught me basic carpentry and electric. Life skills that have served me well. My whole life is because of them.  Literally, they could have chose not to adopt me and I shutter to think how my life would have turned out. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything. This observatory is named in their honor.

Nicholas Observatory

This is not my best effort on M45. Mom and Dad would have been proud non the less.

Title: Nicholas Observatory

Description: A 12' x 12' roll off roof AP observatory. Located at my home in Missouri, USA. It houses 4 scopes and is designed for astrophotography. The center of the observatory's concrete pad floats and is separate from the rest of the building. Never designed to be a remote observatory (automated). I had professional people do the concrete. The rest of the project I completed alone. Basic tools and the knowledge of Pythagoras kept everything square. Completed in 1 Lunar Day.

I was still doing trim. The tarps around a dog pen was the area I was using for the scopes while I was building the Observatory.
Inside and outside paint will have to wait until spring and warmer weather
