Description

Finally clear on the new moon at my dark site, Mt Pinos, 8,300'.  First time since November.  First night was cold and windy though, 28 degrees, for this image.  It was good to see a few astro friends in person again.

My plate solving was a bit off on this image, missed all of the shark, but still some interesting IFN.  right?  I've tried to capture such from my backyard, bortle 7, but found that was impossible.   For some reason I find these structures interesting and enjoyable.  Windy all night, but what the heck, had to try 30 sec subs and pushed PHD guiding parameters to the max.  I was surprised by the result as really quick processing and don't know what I'm doing with these yet.  I must study up and practice processing of these beasts now that I have some dark sky data with the Hyperstar.

The second night, last night, was calm and a bit warmer.  Lots of data to process, but no time for now...going back to dark skies for a few more days after church tomorrow.
