Description

Messier 63 (NGC 5055), also titled the “Sunflower galaxy”, is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Canes Venatici. It was discovered by French astronomer Pierre Méchain in 1779. This DSO is approximately 27 million light-years from Earth and has a spatial diameter of 98,000 light years.
